Private Vehicle Crossing Policy
Resolved: That the draft report be noted and endorsed for submission to Cabinet for consideration at its meeting on 11th November 2014 with the inclusion of the following: Clarification of the mechanism for determining cases where exceptional circumstances have been presented e.g. majority decision of relevant ward councillors or for the matter to be determined by Cabinet Committee; Flexibility in dealing with the outstanding cases in terms of hardship/reduced fees; Facilities for and use of electric cars; address the issue of the number of cars at the property; Clarification of the detailed wording of the Policy regarding adverse effect to availability of on-street parking; gates opening outwards on to the highway; and what constitutes an obstruction of access to main door of the dwelling.
