729 The Basement, Maitland House, Chichester Road, Southend-on-Sea - Application for Variation of Existing Provisional Public Entertainment Licence
Resolved:

That the application for the variation of existing Provisional Public Entertainment Licence be granted, subject to the following conditions:-

(a) The relevant Conditions contained in the existing Provisional Licence;

(b) appropriate conditions relevant to the proposed Public Entertainment Licences, to be drawn up by the Director of Technical and Environmental Services in consultation with the Police, based upon those set out in the applicant's submission dated 24 November 2004 (The final wording to ensure consistency with those imposed for the ground floor units, and the conditions of the Justices Licences).

729The Committee received a report of the Director of Technical & Environmental Services concerning applications by Mr P Busby of Shea Properties Limited, for the variation of an existing Provisional Public Entertainment Licence, formerly held by Mr I Samuels, so as to increase the currently approved capacity from 895 persons to 1,095 persons.

The applicant, Mr Murrell (the applicants' legal representative) and Miss Finn (assistant to the legal representative) attended the meeting. Sgt Matt Bell of the Police Licensing Unit was also in attendance.
