219	The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director for Place which sought approval to the application from Southend Licensed Taxi Drivers Association for an increase in the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle fares and charges and other associated amendments. Two representatives of the SLTDA attended the meeting to provide a brief overview of the reasons for the request to increase the fares. The Committee asked a number of questions which were responded to by the SLTDA representatives and officers.
