738 Seymours, 2-4 Warrior Square, Southend-on-Sea - Application for the Variation of Public Entertainment Licence
Resolved:

That the application for the variation of existing Public Entertainment Licence be granted, subject to the following conditions:-

(a) The acoustic assessment required as part of the presently approved consent to alterations shall be required to take into account the extended operating hours now put forward; and

(b) the revised conditions and undertakings, as set out in the paper circulated at the meeting. (The final wording of such conditions be delegated to the Director of Technical and Environmental Services, following consultation with the Police and the Applicant.)

738The Sub Committee received a report of the Director of Technical & Environmental Services concerning an application by Mr De Vigne for the variation of the existing Public Entertainment Licence so as to increase the terminal hours on Monday to Saturday from 1.00 a.m. to 2.00 a.m. the following morning. The application also sought to increase the terminal hour on Sunday from 10.30 p.m. to 12.30 a.m. (extending to 2.00 a.m. on Bank Holiday Sundays, excluding Easter Sunday).

The appplicant, together with Mr Hook (the applicant's solicitor) and Ms Rigluth (Co-Licensee) were in attendance at the meeting. Sgt M Bell of the Police Licensing Unit was also in attendance.

A revised copy of a proposed scheme of measures that had been drafted by the applicant and the Police Licensing Unit, to form the basis of proposed additional conditions, was circulated at the meeting.
