315 Exclusion of the Public.
 Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

316 Appeal Against Dismissal - Employee
The Committee considered an appeal against dismissal submitted by employee JS. The Council's case was presented by HF, supported by TT (HR advisor). The appellant was in attendance and presented their case.

The Committee satisfied itself that the employee had been afforded the opportunity to be represented at this meeting by a friend, trade union or their own legal representative. The employee confirmed that they were happy to proceed on this basis.

Having considered all the evidence presented, the Committee:

Resolved:

That gross misconduct had been substantiated and therefore the appeal accordingly be dismissed.
