594 Exclusion of the Public
 Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

595 Appeal Against Dismissal - Employee BO
 The Committee considered an appeal against dismissal submitted by employee BOM. The Council's case was presented by DP, supported by SP (HR Officer). The Council called three witnesses.

The appellant was in attendance supported by his union representative, SN.

Having considered all the written evidence presented, the Committee:

Resolved:-

1. That, in respect to allegation 1, gross misconduct had been proven and the appeal accordingly be dismissed.

2. That, in respect to allegation 2, gross misconduct had been proven but fell short of behaviour which justified dismissal. The Committee therefore imposed the lesser sanction of a Final and Written Warning.
