A supplementary report was tabled at the meeting in response to petitions relating to the Hospital Parking Management Scheme Post-Implementation Review.

Members expressed concerns in respect to the problems of displaced parking, specifically in the Westborough Ward, the issues related to hospital and RBS employee parking, commuter parking and under occupency of parking bays.

In response to Members' concerns, the Head of Planning and Transport explained that officers were meeting with the Chief Executive's of Southend Hospital and RBS to explain the Parking Management Scheme (PMS) and discuss the concerns regarding employee parking. The Head of Planning and Transport also advised that officers would continue to examine effective and flexible ways of managing displaced parking.
