3 London Southend Airport Monitoring Report
 The Chairman welcomed Alastair Welch, Managing Director of London Southend Airport Company Limited, to the meeting and invited him to present the Airport's Annual Report 2012-13. The Annual Report painted a very positive picture: The Airport has delivered against it promises for growth and employment and has complied with the strong controls designed to reduce environmental impacts and detrimental effects on residents. Mr Welch answered questions put by Members.

The Working Party then considered the report of the Corporate Director for Corporate Services setting out details of the strict controls which apply to operations at the Airport contained in the Planning Agreements and the leasing agreements. The report also provided monitoring data for the 6 month period (November 2012 - April 2013), together with the comments of the Airport Company on this data and on complaints received. Members asked questions on the report which were answered by officers and Mr Welch.

Resolved

(a)To note the monitoring data supplied by the Airport Company for the 6 months period November 2012 - April 2013 which demonstrates general compliance with the obligations contained in the relevant Planning Agreements and Leases.

(b)To note the details supplied by the Airport Company of complaints received during the 6 month period November 2012 - April 2013 and how they have been resolved.

(c)To note the Annual Report of London Southend Airport Company Limited and to congratulate the Company on its performance.
