Resolved:

That the minutes of the meeting held on 11th November 2013 be confirmed and signed as a correct record.
753 Exclusion of the Public.
Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the item of business set out below on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

754 Appeal Against Dismissal - Employee SI
The Committee considered an appeal against dismissal submitted by employee SI. The Council's case was presented by JT, supported by SM. RB was called as a witness by the Council.

The appellant was in attendance with her union representative, FL who presented her case.

Having considered all the written evidence presented, the Committee:

Resolved:

That gross misconduct had been proven but it fell short of behaviour which justified dismissal. The Committee therefore imposed the lesser sanction of a Final Warning.
