The Corporate Director for Place authorised: The entering into an agreement to obtain the funding of €336,000 from the EU Interreg 2 Seas project towards the implementation of SuDS measures in the Southend Central Area Transport Scheme area, Better Queensway Development and critical drainage areas along the seafront. This is following the Council’s successful bid for funding under the project. The project will run for four years (ending June 2020) and will support Southend in becoming more resilient to climate change and reduce the impact of future floods. The Council’s contribution will be approximately €224,000. (Reported to Cabinet on 20th September 2016)
