The Committee considered Minute 711 of the meeting of Cabinet held on 16^th January 2020, which had been referred direct to Scrutiny, together with a report of the Executive Director (Finance and Resources), on the above matter.

Resolved:

That the following decisions of Cabinet, be noted:-

“1. That the current outstanding debt position as at 30^th November 2019 and the position of debts written off to 30^th November 2019 as set out in Appendices A & B to the submitted report, be noted.

2. That the write offs greater than £25,000, as detailed in Appendix B to the report, be approved.”

The Cabinet considered a report of the Executive Director (Finance and Resources) on the above.

Resolved:-

1.  That the current outstanding debt position as at 30^th November 2019 and the position of debts written off to 30^th November 2019 as set out in Appendices A & B to the submitted report, be noted.

2.  That the write offs greater than £25,000, as detailed in Appendix B to the report, be approved.

Reason for Decision:

All reasonable steps to recover the debt have been taken, and therefore where write off is recommended it is the only course of action that is left available.
