Southend 2050 Ambition/Five Year Road Map Report of Chief Executive (to follow) Minutes: The Cabinet considered a report of the Chief Executive presenting the revised Southend 2050 Ambition, Themes and Outcomes and Southend 2050 Five Year Road Map, following further feedback, including from Place, People and Policy & Resources Scrutiny Committees.
Recommended:
That the revised Southend 2050 Ambition, Themes & Outcomes and the Southend 2050 Five Year Road Map, as set out in Appendices A, B and C respectively, be adopted.
Reasons for decision:
To have in place an ambition for Southend 2050, Themes, Outcomes and a Five Year Road Map, for the future of the Borough.
Other options:
Not adopting the recommended approach would mean the Borough’s vision would be very dated.
