SOS Bus style first aid provision.

We the undersigned petition the council to Restore a provision for first aid cover during the Night Time Economy on Friday and Saturday nights in Southend Town Centre. This has succesfully been provided by the SOS Bus in a five week trial resulting in over 40 'casualties' being supported, without recourse to traditional emergency services.

The SOS Bus has provided this service for the best part of the last fifteen years, has the experience to be effective and the trained volunteers to operate an efficient service in support of clubbers and others out on these nights. We have saved £millions of Health Service and Police costs and remain ready and willing to continue to provide this valuable and well-supported service in Town.
