Southend Sewage Works Stock Road - Nuisance Smells

We the undersigned petition the council to To formally investigate and assess the suitability of infrastructure at the Southend Sewage Treatment Plant in Stock Road - with a view to serve notice to put measures / technology in place for improved odour control.

Southend Council's planning department granted permission to Bellway homes in 2015 to build residential homes on the plot neighbouring the sewage plant, ignoring concerns from Essex and Suffolk water, local businesses and Environmental health. Residents in the new Ecko park development - particularly in the southern region of the new estate are having to endure gut wrenching smells in their gardens and inside their homes on a daily basis. Southend council needs to take action to solve this problem causing misery to many residents of the local area
