We the undersigned petition the council to We the undersigned petition the Council to ensure that the consultation around the local plan does not include the proposal to allow over 7,000 homes to be built on Green Belt land north of Bournes Green Chase

In a recent briefing with Councillors, it was revealed that Southend Borough Council intends to change the designation of Green Belt land north of Bournes Green Chase and Poynters Lane to allow for the building of over 7,000 homes.

This will put huge pressures on our schools, roads and health services, whilst destroying the last remaining piece of Green Belt land in the Borough. We do not want any proposal to build on the Green Belt to from part of the consultation on the new local plan.
