The lack of light prevents people from skating at darker times especially during the winter after work or education the park is especially dark. This needs to be lit up as it is impossible to see and can become a hazard. There is also an increase of robberies and mugging In the area which happens because of the dark environment. For the safety and well-being of skaters in the southend area lights should be added to prevent further crime. An extension will also be recommended as the skating Community is growing and space in the skatepark is minimal. An extension to the skatepark will help prevent injuries to the public/skaters and you should consider this as an investment for the safety of the public.
