Presentation by Anglian Water To receive a presentation by representatives of Anglian Water. There will a session for Questions and Answers from Councillors on the Scrutiny Committee at the end of the presentation. Additional documents: Minutes: The Chair introduced, and the Committee welcomed, Mr Grant Tuffs (Regional Engagement Manager), Mr Matthew Moore (Flood Partnerships Manager), Mr James Froggatt (Regional Treatment Manager), Ms Sophie Triggs (Water Recycling Network Manager) and Mr Ian Phillips (Network Support Technician) from Anglian Water, who had been invited to give a presentation which covered the following issues:
- How they were working to reduce flooding in Southend; and - the recent flooding issues experienced in Thorpe Hall Avenue and proposed solutions.
The presentation was followed by a session for responses to pre-notified questions. The Committee was also afforded the opportunity to ask questions which were duly responded to by officers and the representatives from Anglian Water.
Mr Tuffs undertook to provide a copy of the responses to the pre-notified questions and a copy of the slides used in the presentation which would be circulated to the Councillors on the Committee.
On behalf of the Committee, the Chair thanked all the representatives from Anglian Water for attending the meeting and for giving an interesting and informative presentation. The Chair also took the opportunity to thank Councillor Campbell for suggesting the presentation be given to the Committee.
