 Resolved:

That, under Section 100 (A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

 The Committee received a report of the Corporate Director Children & Learning which informed Members of vacancies for Local Authority Appointments to School Governing Bodies and of the nominations received for consideration. A revised Appendix 2 to the report was presented at the meeting.

Resolved:

1. That the following persons be appointed to vacancies on the governing bodies indicated:

Pastor (Dr) A Popoola - Priory Special School

Mr G Prior - Hinguar Primary School

2. That the following persons be appointed to vacancies, caused by governors nearing or reaching the end of their term of office, on the governing bodies indicated:

Mr P Sedgewick - Fairways
Cllr D Norman - Milton Hall
Mr G Caplan, Mr P Green and Mr A Fox - Richmond Avenue
Mr H Briggs - Westcliff High School for Boys

3. That the following persons be appointed to fill vacancies, caused by the adoption of new Instruments of Government, on the governing bodies indicated:
