814 Exclusion of the Public.
 Resolved:

That, under Section 100 (A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

Business for item 815
Resolved:

1. That Ruby Baillie and Michael Dedman be appointed to fill the vacancies on Bournemouth Park Primary School caused by their end of their term of office being reached as indicated.

2. That Garry Lowen be appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the adoption of a new Instrument of Government at Futures as indicated.

3. That Carolyn Evans be appointed to the vacancy at Priory Special School.

4. That the following persons be appointed to vacancies on the governing bodies indicated:

Gillian Andrews - Friars Primary and Nursery School
Mark Cowan - Blenheim Primary
Geoffrey Hardcastle - Hinguar Primary
Ian Kettlewell - St George's Primary
Geoffrey Nash - West Leigh Infant
Valerie Taylor - St Thomas More

5. That Minute 654 of the meeting of the Committee held on 14 November 2006 be reaffirmed.

815The Committee received a report of the Corporate Director Children & Learning which informed Members of vacancies for Local Authority appointments to School Governing Bodies and of the nominations received for consideration.

The Committee was aware that it had previously considered delegating authority to appoint Local Authority Governor representatives to the Corporate Director Children & Learning, in consultation with the Chairman of the Committee and requested that a scheme of delegation be prepared for future appointment of Local Authority Governors.
