Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

241 Appeal against termination of employment on grounds of redundancy - Employee JS
The Committee considered an appeal against termination of employment on grounds of redundancy from employee JS. The appellant was accompanied by a friend, Mr CS. The Council's case was presented by Mr AL, supported by Mr CJ. The Council also called two witnesses.

Having considered all the evidence presented, the Committee:

Resolved:

That the appeal be dismissed and the officers decision to terminate the contract of employment on the grounds of redundancy be upheld.
