Resolved:

That the minutes of the meeting held on 20th September 2012 be confirmed and signed as a correct record.
429 Exclusion of the Public.
Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the item of business set out below on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

430 Appeal against dismissal - Employee KL
The Committee was advised that due to ill health the appellant was not able to attend this hearing.

The Committee had to consider a preliminary issue whether to proceed with the hearing in the absence of the appellant or adjourn to provide the opportunity for the appellant to attend to present their appeal.

The Committee therefore in the interests of natural justice and to allow the appellant to present their case:

That the appeal be adjourned and be reconvened for Thursday 1st November 2012.
