Resolved:

That the minutes of the meeting held on 11th November 2008 be confirmed and signed as a correct record.
997 Exclusion of the Public.
Resolved:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

998 Appeal Against Dismissal - Employee JEB
The Committee considered an appeal against dismissal submitted by employee JEB. The Council's case was presented by Mr Martin Elliott, supported by Mrs Natalie Valentine (HR Officer). Mrs Yvonne Petley was called as a witness by the Council.

The appellant was in attendance with her union representative, Mrs Claire Wormald who presented her case.

Having considered all the written evidence presented, the Committee:
