539 Amendment to Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence Advertising Conditions
Business for item 539
Resolved:

1. That the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence Condition 3(d) be amended to add the words 'or roof of the vehicle provided that the advert does not exceed 1044mm x 95mm x 360mm (41" x 4" x 14")'.

2. That Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence Condition 3(h) be amended to add the words 'and provided that no other advertisement appears on the said roof'.

3. That Officers with delegated powers to approve advertisements do not approve advertisements of a licentious nature, or containing Tobbacco, Alchohol, Nudity or of a political nature.

539The Committee considered a report of the Director of Technical & Environmental Services No.DTES03/176 which proposed amendments to the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence Conditions to permit illuminated advertising to be placed on the roof of a taxi.
