At the meeting of Council held on 10^th December 2015, Members received a notice of motion requesting the Council to review and amend the three year local entitlement for social housing rule to seven years in line with Basildon District Council’s Policy.  The motion was proposed by Councillor Callaghan and seconded by Councillor Davies (this had been referred to Cabinet in accordance with Standing Order 8.4).

The Cabinet considered a report by the Corporate Director for People which had been prepared in response to the notice of motion.

Resolved:-

That the contents of the submitted report be noted and that Officers be asked to undertake further investigation of the issues raised and bring back a report to the meeting of the Cabinet on 15^th March 2016.
