Exclusion of the Public

 

To agree that, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business set out below on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

School Transport Appeal - RC

Report of Executive Director (Children and Public Health)

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director (Children and Public Health), together with supporting correspondence from the parent of pupil RC, in connection with an application for home to school transport assistance.

 

The appellant was in attendance and presented their case and reasons.

 

Resolved:

That the appeal be upheld and transport assistance be granted.

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director (Children and Public Health), together with supporting correspondence from the parent of pupil LS, in connection with an application for home to school transport assistance.

 

The appellant was not in attendance and therefore the Committee considered the information contained in the written submissions.

 

Resolved:

That there being no circumstances reported which would justify a departure from the Council's policy, the appeal be dismissed.

Appeal Against Dismissal - Employee DC

Minutes:

The Committee considered an appeal against dismissal submitted by employee DC. The Council's case was presented by RL, supported by NV.  The Council called one witness.

 

The appellant, DC was not in attendance to present their case.

 

Having considered all the evidence and submissions made, the Committee:

 

Resolved:

 

That the decision to dismiss DC on the grounds of capability due to ill health be upheld and therefore the appeal be dismissed.
